Honestly, it takes someone truly special to make me write down my thoughts and observations, but Ibil, who go by the name "ruby" on TikTok, has an irresistible charm that makes putting my thoughts into words feel effortless.

Her TikTok LIVE sessions are not just entertaining, they're like a double shot of espresso dengan susu dan krim inspiration and positivity that brightens my day, no... I mean brightens my dini hari. Her passion for what she does is so engaging that it pulls us into her cozy little world, making us feel like part of the gang.

She has this fun way of connecting with her 15-ish regular viewers through her genuine expressions and the joy she brings to every livestream. Watching her feels like chatting with a close friend, and that's what keeps me coming back.

"Kenapa? Kenapa nonton live gua? Kayaknya gak akan seru banget sih, live aku tuh gak seseru itu."

"Kenapa?," she asked.

Well, the short version could be "because u r pretty", "u're kind", or "because you're nice to look at", but I believe Ruby might not accept such a simple and superficial answer because there's so much more to her than meets the eye. Besides, I don't want to hear the usual "Gak usah gitu Ruby's, aku malu" for the 15xxxxx2 times.

The thing about the name "Ruby" is that she shares the best qualities with the gemstone itself: she is vibrant, rare, passionate, and full of energy, and by that I mean she's kuat begadang. I think it's pretty adorable, whether she picked the name on purpose or it just happened to suit her perfectly.

Anyway, some things are worth remembering, and Ruby's LIVE sessions definitely fall into that category. Whether she's sharing her stories, discussing her favorite things, or simply chatting with her viewers, these moments are unforgettable (at least for me). I was eating all her shit up and I got attached so much. Sorry. Heck, my mood depended on whether or not she was doing TikTok LIVE. Yeah, I got myself into some deep shit, I know.

Alright, let's get to the point. Whether you're a longtime fan of her TikTok LIVE or just discovering her for the first time from For You page, these notes will help you see why Ruby is... a life force.

Here are just a few (totally incomplete) reasons why I can't get enough of her TikTok LIVE:

• Ruby is really approachable, friendly, and makes everyone feel welcome. I got that impression right from the very first day I joined her LIVE.
• She's one of the very few people on TikTok who actually gets my name (neverchosen) right. Believe me, it's a little thing that most people on TikTok fail to spell correctly. By the way, I don't bother with that name anymore since I got a new personalized name, different from everyone else :)
• She's one of the most kind, supportive, and encouraging people on TikTok-verse. Always ready with a comforting word and listening ear to lift others up, even though she sometimes needs those comforting words for herself.
• She speaks English very well. You can ask Ruby in English and she'll answer it right away. Tidak judgemental dan tidak pernah mengoreksi kesalahan orang lain secara terang-terangan. Not sure about her IRL, tho.
• Again, based on my limited and premature observations, she's the most non-judgemental person I've ever witnessed, online.
• Her smile... her damn smile with those charming bunny teeth, is enough to brighten anyone's day!
• She's an amazing listener. She was always enthusiastic when listening to other people's stories. You'll be tempted to open up to her because she's so inviting.
• You wouldn't know if your jokes or story sucks. She will laugh anyway, that's how kind and respectful she is.
• She never judges people who don't know the things she knows.
• Selalu berusaha membaca setiap komentar yang ada di LIVE-nya. Like, literally every single one. Yup, she genuinely cares and appreciates everyone who takes the time to comment on her LIVE. I totally respect her for that, though I sometimes feel a bit sorry for her because it must be exhausting, apalagi kalau viewers-nya ada 200 orang.
• Ruby ingat dan berusaha ingat nama semua orang yang pernah join di LIVE-nya, or at least 99% of them. Bahkan yang sudah berganti nama dan sudah lama tidak join Ruby masih tetap ingat. Kadang ngaku pelupa, tapi sebenarnya dia orangnya tidak lupa-lupa amat soal nama orang.
• Ruby selalu berterima kasih ke orang-orang yang kirim gift, bahkan untuk gift satu mawar yang tidak seberapa itu.
• Watching Ruby memandang ke atas sambil diam... while she's thinking is the cutest thing ever, as if she's searching for answers in the stars!
• She's so so good at deflecting negative comments with humor. But sometimes, she can snap at people on a bad day, so please don't push her too far. There's limit that others should not go beyond, right?
• Love it when her eyes brighten when she finds something funny. It's the highlight of the LIVE! So please, keep the silly corny jokes coming.
• She's the kind of person who could talk about a lot of subjects easily. Yes, she's that smart. Like, a lot smarter than the average TikToker. Just slightly below the Clash of Champions participants.
• Ruby adalah tipe orang yang ketika bercerita selalu verbatim (word for word) ketika menirukan ucapan orang lain dalam ceritanya. Love that, karena tidak memberikan ruang untuk munculnya asumsi dari orang lain.
• Tidak suka menceritakan kejelekan orang atau berkomentar negatif tentang orang lain, online and probably offline too. Well, it might seem trivial, yet so many people can't resist putting others down just to highlight their own superiority. Not Ruby.
• When she tells us about her life, her thoughts, all I want to say is "tell me more."
• She's very self-conscious about her comments and reactions to certain things to not to be judged as matre, picky, or sombong. If she says something that could offend someone, she'll apologize right away.
• She's genuinely a caring person. Helping an elderly lady cross the road? That's just her being her usual self.
• She's a great motivator. She has the power to move people and to make them feel special. She definitely can give you the strength to move a mountain or membangun 15 candi. You better be prepared if you decide to make her your world.
• She always prays before she eats. It's admirable how she always takes a moment to pray before eating. Her mama raised her well.
• She always shows gratitude and says "thank you", about anything no matter how small it is, and it makes her GLOW.
• All in all, I can't stop watching her TikTok LIVE, she's just so good at being likeable.

This '101' is something I'd really prefer to keep to myself, honestly, but I wanted to share it here because I feel it's a great addition to what's already listed above.

• She's a fan of the Double Shaken Latte from Fore -her perfect coffee for any day.
• She's into anting/piercing, obviously. Make a small compliment about her piercings just to let her know that you noticed, it will definitely make her day!
• Nail art! Nail art is definitely her thing. She's all about those creative nail designs -she's really into it! But her nails are trimmed now as they began to chip.
• Call her "Rubuy" or "buy" on her TikTok LIVE. It's a sweet way to get on her soft side.
• Some of her favorite anime are Kakegurui and Death Parade.
• Her cheeks are perfect. If you disagree, fight me.
• Pick-up lines are fine I guess, but she prefers a direct and straightforward way. Remember the act of service thingy?
• "Beautiful" or "pretty" was too weak of a compliment to use for her, because she's so much more than that.
• She's not into make-up, which makes sense because she's naturally stunning and doesn’t need it. But she takes lip care seriously. Gotta keep those lips looking lively, as she absolutely hates looking pale!
• Speaking of make-up, even if she did wear make-up, it was subtle and simple. Menor is not in her book.
• She loves all things skincare, haircare, and body care. Mungkin agak aneh kalau ada cowok yang tiba-tiba "penasaran" tentang ini dan diskusi dengan Ruby soal topik ini, but once you do, you'll find yourself caught up in her enthusiasm!
• She loves reviewing stuff, especially the skincare and lip products she uses.
• She loves to be asked about anything. Please match her energy with enthusiasm when you listen to her story.
• Sangat gampang terdistraksi kalau lagi cerita. But that's OK, just remind her to continue. She probably has so many important things running in her head.
• She loves horror movies. It's her go-to genre for a good scare.
• She's a slow eater. Just let her enjoy her meal at her own pace.
• Ruby absolutely can't stand the sound of people eating with their mouths open. Just imagine the agony of a slow eater like Ruby having to endure a meal with someone who chews like that —pure torture!
• She ate her burger layer by layer, top to bottom. Some may find it weird but it's a clean way to eat a burger. No leaked juice.
• She eats more when she is stressed and that's totally fine.
• "Anjing" is her favorite swear word. Don't say anything about it or even criticize her, instead blame the world for being unfair to her.
• Let her win and do/get anything she wants. Do not try to outsmart her because you definitely can't.
• She's someone yang gampang move-on. "Ya udah lah ya" is her go-to phrase when she's ready to forget about something.
• Her secret to move on fast? Totally "let it hurt until it can’t hurt anymore". She feels it all, and coming out stronger every time.
• She can easily sleep anywhere, especially if she's very tired. Bisa tidur di mobil saat dalam perjalanan, dan pernah tidur di toilet!
• Can be oblivious sometimes. She'll have those moments where she's hilariously out of touch, but that's just a fun part of who she is.

• She can read Korean (Hangul) —and she learned it just because she had some free time. Pretty impressive, right?
• Can be pretty selective about who she lets into her inner circle and likes to keep things private. Quality over quantity, right?
• Purple/lavender color are her favorites, and you can see it reflected in her accessories and surroundings.
• She's the biggest fan and number 1 supporter of Red Velvet (South Korean girl group).
• When it comes to her little bro, Ruby is like a superhero in disguise. She's like his guardian angel.
• If she turns you down when you ask her to jalan-jalan, makan, or ngopi, just change your name to "organisasi kampus", then ask her again. She'll say yes in a heartbeat, no questions asked!
